Patricia Sue Beckett Bellamy

“An Angel Has Earned Her Wings” Patricia Sue Beckett-Bellamy, 81 of Beckley went to be with our Lord on Wed. Oct. 7th after a two year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born Feb. 19, 1934, Patricia was the daughter of the late Homer & Mable Sheets. Later in her life, she married her first love, Donald M. Beckett, in which they enjoyed 35 years together raising 5 children. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and a good friend to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Vickie Sue, 8 sisters and 2 brothers whom she loved dearly. In 1999, she was blessed to meet another wonderful man, James R. Bellamy whom she later married and enjoyed 16 years together. James has been a great blessing to our family. Survivors include 3 sons, Gary Beckett and girlfriend, Annette O’Neal; Randy Beckett and wife Elizabeth, both of Beckley; Stephen Beckett of Charlotte, NC. Two daughters, Sandi Barnett and husband, JW; Donna Covey and husband William, both of Beckley; step-sons, Doug and Tim Bellamy; two brothers, Dick Sheets and wife, Beverly of Kalispell, Montana and Charles Sheets and wife Pat of Reno, Nevada. Several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren who all held a special place in her heart. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at the Bowers Hospice House. A celebration of Patricia’s life will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct 10th at the Calloway Heights Baptist Church on Rural Acres Drive in Beckley with Pastor Bill Parker and Pastor Bill Horton officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6- 8 pm on Friday at the church.. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Mausoleum , Chapel of Faith.
