Nola T. McNicol

Nola T. McNicol, 79, of Lester, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011, in a local hospital. Born November 13, 1931, in Beckley WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Trail and Mary Catherine Trail of Lester.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Jack B. McNicol, her parents, and a brother, Nathan Preston Trail.
Survivors include Nola’s sister Norma (Boots) Larabee of Bradley WV; two sons Jack M. McNicol of Hockessin DE and Mark G. McNicol of Lester WV; daughters-in-law Ruth Neal of Hockessin DE and Deborah McNicol of Palm Harbor FL; and grandchildren Mary Frances McNicol of Beckley WV, and Thomas James and Catherine Jane McNicol of Hockessin DE.
Nola was a graduate of Beckley College and was a registered medical technician who worked at Raleigh General Hospital early in her career and later at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Pinecrest Hospital in Beckley.
Nola was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. For the past 14 years she has been a member of the congregation at Lester and previously worshipped with the congregation in Prestonsburg KY.
Nola will be remember as a devoted Christian and a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend; who always put the needs of others before her own.
Funeral services will be in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Friends may call at the mausoleum from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Lester Church of Christ, P.O. Box 329, Lester, WV 25865.
