Mary Ellen Lillian Bowen

Mary Ellen Lillian Bowen, 63, of Beckley passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020.
Born January 15, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Fanny Marie Whitson Dunford.
Mary was a former personal care giver. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was a lover of all animals.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Paul.
She is survived by daughters, Julian Yancey (Patrick) and Brittney Bowen (fiancé Michael Lilly) and his children of Beckley; son, Sidney Dunford of Beckley; grandchildren, Piper Lilly, Sidney Dunford, II, Jessie Dunford, Sydney Dunford, Tara Clay, Kaitlin Hargis.; brothers, John, Albert, Jimmy and Dickey Dunford; sisters, Gail Stewart, June Price, Fanny Dunford, Rita Rea.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. CDC guidelines for proper spacing will be followed. The family understands if you wish to attend but remain in your car.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
