Martha Ann Underwood

Martha Ann Underwood 74 of Mabscott passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her residence. She was born September 6, 1935 in Calloway Heights, WV, the daughter of the late Roy L. Vass and Erma Mae (Long). She was a homemaker and life-long resident of Raleigh County. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dixie Hovonski. She is survived by her husband, Gratton M. Underwood, two sons, Mark Underwood and his wife Joan, and Brian Underwood; two grandchildren, Tabitha Edwards and her husband John, and Tamara Underwood, all of Charlotte, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. with the Dr. Rick Metrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Wood Cemetery, Rural Acres Drive, Beckley. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010.
