Martha Allen Moss

Martha Allen Moss, 83, a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker passed peacefully into glory Friday, December 5, 2008 at her home, The Summit, located in Oak Hill, WV.
Formerly of Beckley, Martha was born January 25, 1925 to the late T.R. and Hallie Allen. Martha was a member of the First Christian Church where she was an active participant in Sunday School and Circle Club. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of a local garden club.
Her husband of 27 years, George H. Moss, Jr. and her son, George H. Moss III, preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Richard A. Moss and his wife, Beate of Alexandria, Virginia and Thomas H. Moss and his wife, Vicki, and their two sons, Thomas H. II (Tee) and Ryan J., all from Beckley. Also, left behind are her brother, Thomas R. Allen, of Tampa, Florida and her sister, Betty Griffith, and her husband, Thomas, of Eugene, Oregon. Martha had six nephews and nieces. Additionally, those not to be forgotten are the many friends she made which had become very dear to her while residing at the Summit, an Assistive Living Center.
At Martha’s request, a private, family service was held on Monday, December 8, at Sunset Memorial Park.
