Markis Ray Mullens

Markis Ray Mullens, 56, of Craigsville, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. Born June 28, 1962 in Richwood, WV, he was the son of Paula Mae Legg Mullens and the late Everett Lee Mullens. Besides his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Randall Mullens, and brothers-in-law Danny Neil and David Pittsenbarger.

Mark was a heavy equipment mechanic with Alpha Natural Resources and attended St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Craigsville. He enjoyed hunting, spending time with family and loved the beach. All who knew Mark will remember his sense of humor and contagious laugh.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughter, Morgan Scott and her husband Jeremiah of Craigsville; son, Colton Mullens of Craigsville; former wife Leslie Mullens; step grandchildren, Myah Grace and Brylee Morgan Scott of Craigsville; sister, Teresa Pittsenbarger of Virginia; nieces and nephews, Austen, Emily, John, Derrick, Nicholas, Katie, Curtis, Dustin and Abby, who made his days brighter as a special caregiver for Mark; great nieces and nephews , Violet, Levi and Seth; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Joyce Neil; sisters-in-law, Shana Mullens and Cheryl Childers and her husband Aaron and brother-in-law, Mark Neil and his fianc, Lacy Chronister.

A celebration honoring Marks life will be held on Sunday, November 18th 2018 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Methodist Church activity building in Craigsville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Bowers Hospice House in Memory of Markis.
