Margaret Mae Sydenstricker

Margaret Mae “Sloan” Sydenstricker, 78, of Shady Spring, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013.
Born November 12, 1934 in Mabscott, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Sloan. Besides her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sydenstricker; daughter, Paula Sydenstricker and brothers, Harold and Frank Sloan.
Margaret was a retired bus aide for the Raleigh County Board of Education and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God.
Survivors include a son, David Sydenstricker and wife Theresa of Grandview; daughter, Rebecca Stowers of Shady Spring; grandchildren, April Taylor and husband Alan of Princeton, John, Amanda and Mary Stowers, of Shady Spring, Michael and Wesley Flannery of Beckley; 4 step-grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and numerous other family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Calvary Assembly of God, 319 Sunset Dr., Beckley, WV with Pastor John Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Roger D. Stowers, Jr., Roger A. Stowers, Sr., Roger A. Stowers, Jr., Alan Taylor, Michael Flannery and Wesley Flannery.
