Mrs. Laura Blake, 73, of Beckley, died Tuesday , January 26, 2010 at her son’s home after a sudden illness.
Born August 31, 1936 in Philippi WV, she was the daughter of the late John and Atha Rogers. Laura was employed by Leggett’s for eighteen years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Blake, a son Randy, and a sister Virginia Biller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her four sons; Alan and his wife Janet of Athens, WV, Steve and his wife Peggy of Columbus OH, John and his wife Concettia of Webster Springs, WV, and Danny and his wife Jill of Crab Orchard who she lived with.
Grandchildren include Candace, Chris, Natasha, Josh, Rhanda, Brittnii, Crystal, Jacob, Amanda, Cassie, and Eric. Great Grandchildren include Matthew, Makayla, Samira, Christopher, and Cameron.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vondie L. Cook, II officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
