Joyce (Marie) Smith was granted her angel wings on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Bowers Hospice House with Johnny, her husband, and Mandy Smith, her daughter-in-law, holding her hand.
Born February 3, 1958 in Flint, Michigan she was the daughter of Jack Bland and the late Joyce Dimples Hobbs Bland. Besides her mother, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Hanks and brothers, James Bland and Robert Carlos Bland
.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 45 years, John Smith; son, John Franklin Smith; daughter, Christy Smith; sisters, Diane Smith and Tina Alvarez; brother, Russell Bland; grandchildren, Brayden Harbin, Isaac, Bryson Hunter,Maliyah Smith,Makayla Harbin and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be 1PM, Wednesday, May19 at Stanaford Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who helped no matter how big or small and for your continued support, prayers and love. They will be forever in your debt.
Following the service everyone is welcome to gather with the family at Golden Corral.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Stanaford Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 268, Stanaford, WV 25927.
