John Henry Keppe, Sr.

John Henry Keppe, Sr., 69, of Beckley, passed away Monday, July 5, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family. Born January 7, 1941 in New Brunswick, NJ, John was the son of the late John Henry Keppe and Mary Ann Smolisky. John was a retired Route Salesman for Frito Lay. He was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church where he served as Treasurer for 15 years, taught Sunday School Class, served as Superintentent for Sunday School, and sang in the church choir. He served in the US Marine Corps for four. For the past 32 years, he lived in the Beckley area.
Survivors include his wife Barbara Keppe, two sons John Keppe, Jr, and Donnie Keppe, grandchildren, Emma Keppe, Adyn Keppe, and Wyatt Albert, all of Beckley, one sister Irene Probus of New Jersey, nieces Debbie and Linda, all of New Jersey, nephew Paul of Virginia, and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., July 7, at the Oak Grove Christian Church with Pastor Ken Overdorf officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 12:00p.m. until time of the service.
