Jessie Stover

Jessie Marie Stover, 100, of Prosperity, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Born March 29, 1914 in Rock House, WV she was the daughter of the late Josephus and Bessie Carter Jarrell. Besides her parents Jessie was preceded in death by her husband Freeman Stover; son, Larry Stover; sisters, Juanita Hendricks, Beatrice Vanoy and Flora Dillard and brothers Ervin and Emory Jarrell.

Jessie was a cook for the Raleigh County Board of Education and Nutrition Aide for WV Extension Service. She was a member of the Colcord Presbyterian Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing and crafts.

Survivors include her son, Randall Stover and his wife Sue of Prosperity, six grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Beverly officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service Monday.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions be made to Gideons International or a charity of your choice.
