Jesse Michael Cline

Jesse Michael Cline of Beckley, WV passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the age of 36. He was born in Charleston, WV on May 13, 1972.
Those remaining to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are:
His mother, Patrikina Cline, and her husband Steve Costelli of Surfside Beach, SC, his father John Cline, and his wife, Tammy Campbell-Cline, of Piney View, WV, two brothers, Matthew Cline, his wife, Casey Cline, and daughter, Zoe Cline, of Charleston, SC, and Brooks Cline of Piney View, WV.
His maternal grandmother, Elfriede Richards, and uncle, Meikl Richards, of Castroville, CA.
Two paternal aunts, Ann Cline, and her husband, George Atkins, of Chicago, IL, and Cathi Cline of Schenectady, NY, and one paternal uncle, Andy Cline, and his wife, Jennie Cline, of Andover, Mass.
His special friend, Cindy White, and her daughter, Ava, of Fayetteville, WV.
His cousins, Martin Bryant, Elizabeth Bryant, Sara Atkins, Heidi Wall, and Kevin Cline.
In addition, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ovide Richards, of Castroville, CA; and his paternal grandparents, Crawford and Catharine Cline, of Beckley, WV and formerly of East Aurora, NY.
Jesse loved his family, his friends, the outdoors, and being on a river. He was an avid reader, a raft guide, a lawyer, and had started to study nursing. Jesse graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1990, West Virginia University, and WVU College of Law in 2002. He clerked for Judge John Hrko in Wyoming County for three years and currently was employed by the WV Insurance Commission, Office of Consumer Advocacy.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Jesse’s life on Saturday, February 7th at Class VI (Smokey’s) Ames Heights Road, Lansing, WV, at 3:00 pm..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Appalachian Center for the Economy and Environment ( www.appalachian-center.org), Mountain Justice(www.mountainjusticesummer.org)or West Virginia Rivers Coalition (http://www.wvrivers.org)
