James Stephens Kessler

James Stephens Kessler, 61, of Beckley passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Born February 10, 1955 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Thomas Arnold Kessler, Jr. and Shirley Pauline Stephens Kessler.
James was a retired small business owner. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and golfing. He was a member of the Moose and Trout Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife Christine Michelle Murphy Kessler; son, Thomas James (TJ) Kessler and fianc Karen Lynn Lilly of Beckley; step-daughters, Samantha Bess and husband Tommy, Heather Parker and husband Justin and Hillary Ball all of Oak Hill; grandchildren, Jay and Braxton Bess, Carter and Abigail Parker; mother-in-law, Mae Murphy of Beckley; special cousin, Stacy Keys and wife Ramona of Princeton, WV; special friend, Bobby Frazier of Crab Orchard as well as other family members and friends.
Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Joe Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. tabor Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Kessler, T.J. Bess, Cameron Wyatt, Paul Czaika, Bobby Lively, Stacy Keys and Alan Holcomb.
