James L. Hall

April 14, 1936 — August 29, 2013

James Leighton Hall, 77, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013. Born April 14, 1936 in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late Orville Leighton and Louella Richmond Hall.
James was a retired maintenance supervisor at Pinecrest Hospital. He was a disabled veteran of 18 years serving with the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. English. James enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid WVU Mountaineer fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Hall in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Hall of Beckley, Scott Hall of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Jill Blake and husband Danny of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Leigh Ann, Jessica, Brittnii and Lindsey; great grandchildren, Brett, Jarred, Skye and Johnny Mack; sisters, Clara Bennett of Martinsburg, WV and Judy Clutters of OH.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2013 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Boyd officiating. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Charles Bennett, Brad Harper, Brian Looney, Jasper Horton, Steve Blake and Danny Blake
