Irene Cooper Woody

Irene Cooper Woody, 85, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 22, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Garnet Cooper. Born in Jonben, WV. Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R Woody Sr.; son, Chuckie Woody; granddaughter, Melinda Gleich; sister, Maxine Rigger. Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Melissa and Ken Rannells; son, David and Janet Woody; son, Brian and Kelly Woody; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with the Executive Order issued by the Governor of WV, facial coverings must be worn at all times and social distancing must be practiced. Friends may join the family on Saturday, November 28, 2020 for a viewing from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Calfee Funeral Home, 800 S Oakwood Ave, Beckley. A graveside service will follow for 2:00PM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, 1925 Harper Rd, Beckley.
