Ina Lucille Maples

Ina Lucille Eye Maples, 85, of Beckley, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at a local hospital following a short illness. Born August 11, 1926 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude Richmond Eye.

Ina was a former secretary for the president of the Raleigh County National Bank and secretary at the John W. Eye Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sarah Circle, Pathfinders Sunday School class and Cradle Roll at the church. She was also a member of Senior Friends and was an avid gardener belonging to the local garden club. In addition to her parents Ina was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Maples and sister, Neva Eye Broderick.

Survivors include two daughters, Janie Young and husband Jeff of Charlotte, NC, Anna Christian and husband Kenny of Beckley; grandchildren, Emily Ritch and husband Rusty of Charlotte, Jimmy Estep and wife Joanne of Matthews, NC, Frankie Young of Charlotte, NC, Crystal Walters and husband Brad of Tornado, WV, Lisa Keith and husband David, Justin Ford , and Meridith Humphrey and husband Josh all of Beckley; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Humphrey, Trent Lovell and soon expected great granddaughter, Caleb Bailes, Madison Bailes, Brandon Keith and Walter Keith; sisters, Ruth Eye Webb of Daniels, Gladys Eye Lafferty and Hallie Eye McGinnis of Beckley; brother, John Lee Eye and wife Minda of Daniels, brother-in-law Melvin Maples of Beckley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robert Stoddard officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Calfee Funeral Home, Beckley.

Pallbearers will be Travis Eye, Jimmy Estep, Frankie Young, Brad Walters, Josh Humphrey, Justin Ford, David Keith, Rusty Ritch, Micky Broderick
