Helen Jennings Jackson

Helen Jennings Jackson, 93, of Waxhaw, NC, formerly of Daniels, WV, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010. Born September 8, 1916 in Park, VA, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm H. and Carrie Osborne Jennings. Helen was a lovely lady who loved gospel music, flowers and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Carl W. Jackson, brothers, Clarence, Lowery B., Cecil, Deward and Raymond Jennings and a granddaughter, Cynthia Lemmond.
Survivors include her daughter, Judy Rhodes, Waxhaw, NC, grandchildren; Lennie Pennington and wife Delores, Gary Pennington and wife Sylvia, Lloyd Pennington, Karen Annette Keziah and husband Rodney all of Waxhaw, NC, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brothers; William Jennings of MacArthur, WV, Jerry Dean Jennings of Silver City, NM, sister, Nellie Stevens of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law, Elizabeth C. Jennings of MacArthur, WV, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joseph Schmidt officiating. Helen will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Carl, in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
Family & friends will serve as pallbearers.
