Born June 26, 1914 at Princewick, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Calvin and Ada Farley Brinegar.
Helen was a graduate of Stoco High School and the Huntington Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Huntington and spent most of her nursing career at Charleston General Hospital and Beckley Hospital. She was a member of the Sophia First Baptist Church.
