Gary Delano Dement

Gary Delano Dement, 67, of Daniels, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at his residence. Born December 22, 1945 in Sevierville, TN, he was the son of the late John Ellis and Olga Foxworth Dement. Gary was a disabled veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Troy Delano Dement and a brother, John Ellis Dement, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Simms Dement; son, John Gary Dement and wife Erica of Staffordsville, VA; daughters, Tammy Vance and husband John of Jacksonville, NC, Rachael Harmon of Beckley, Alicia Adkins and husband Jason of Ghent; sister, Aleta Woods of Texas; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be John Dement, Jason Adkins, Gary Vance, Ray Jones and Mark Oxley.
