Franklin Delano Scott

Franklin Delano Scott, 71, of Piney View, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012. Born December 27, 1940 at Grandview, WV, he was the son of the late Harold and Mae Redden Scott. Franklin was a retired electrician for Kings Mill Energy. He loved to hunt, tinker with cars and small engines and spending time with his kids and grandkids. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Scott.
Survivors include a son, Howard Scott; daughter, June Ratliff both of Piney View; grandchildren, Carrie Ratliff of St. Petersburg, FL, Kelly Ratliff of Piney View, Jaimie Ratliff of Beckley, Jeff Howerton of Piney View; great-grandchildren, Christian Wilson of Beckley, Makayla Simmons of St. Petersburg, FL, Logan McCune and Kaylie McCune of Piney View; brothers, Bobby Scott of Piney View, Mike Martin of Prince, WV, Doug Martin of FL: and a sister, Virginia Forren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cecil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Kidwell Cemetery at Grandview. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to service on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Tim Scott, B.J. Forren, Raymond Hoag, Kevin Quinn, Andy Gilkerson, Brent Gilkerson and Gary Scott.
