Frank H. Warren, 82, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2009 in the Beckley VA Hospital following a long illness. Born May 25, 1927 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Dr. Daniel H. and Mary Adams Warren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel H. Warren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ila F. Warren, daughters Ginger Stephen of Sharonville, OH, Sharon Kaelin and husband Craig of Tampa, FL, Haley Maynard and husband Jeff of Huntington, WV and son Frank D. Warren of Beckley, grandchildren, Todd and Grant Stephen, Keri K. Milyko, Alexis, Olivia and Warren Maynard.
Mr. Warren graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in Italy. After serving his country Mr. Warren returned home and attended Beckley College studying business. He was owner of Warren’s Esso/Exxon and Warren’s Wrecker and Salvage, Inc. Mr. Warren was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Beckley, WV. He was a member of Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 A.F. & A.M., Royal Arch Masons, Commandery No. 25, Mt. Hope, WV, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple AAONMS, Charleston, WV where he was a member of Legion of Honor and Clown units. He served as past president of the Beckley Shrine Club.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Homer Stewart and Rev. Ellen File officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Beckley Masonic Lodge No. 95 will conducted graveside rites and serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Cales, Edward Corey, Robert File, Larry Frail, Charles G. Green, Dan Konrad, Nick Kourey, Chuck Lucas, Jim Ramsey, Jim Sibray, Ira Sopher, C.O. Smith and Brad Wartella.
