Ethel Irene Lambert, 96, of Oak Hill passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born September 15, 1920 in Patrick County, VA, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Maude Goins Going.
Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Sophia Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; daughter, Patty Harper of Fairdale and a sister, Virginia Friend of MD.
She is survived by daughters, Ann Darnell and husband Bob of Coal City, Brenda Edwards and husband Gary of Midway, Melinda Miller and husband Rusty of Moneta, VA; grandchildren, Bobby, Tina, Scott, Allen, Miranda, Meagan, Katie, Cathy, Kim, Jaime, Brian, Deanne; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Going of FL, Frank Going of MI and sister, Opal Hopkins of FL.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B with Pastor George Smith officiating.
