Ernest Lee Green

Ernest Lee Green, 62, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his residence. Born April 4, 1949 in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Charles and Zelva Blankenship Roach.
Ernest was a retired coal miner for Beckley Coal Co. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Glen Daniel and the UMWA. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Green.
Survivors include his son, Michael Wayne Green and wife Stephanie of Shepherd, Montana; grandchildren, Michael Lee Green, Johnathan Crew Green and Brandon Acord all of Beckley; sisters, Ann Farrugia and husband Bill of Beckley, Bertha Clifton of California and Janice Cook of Pineville; and a brother, Reed Green and wife Sue of Rupert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in the Calfee Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Vondie Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
