Eric Arden Coleman, 55, of Beckley passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at his residence. Born August 3, 1959 in Boone County, WV, he was the son of the late James Arden and Delma Garnet Toler Coleman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Coleman.
Eric was an underground coal miner having worked for Arch Coal and Speed Mining. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers. He loved the outdoors and liked to camp at Cedar Creek and Bluestone State Parks but mostly he was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Ratcliff Coleman; daughters, Stacy Coleman-Hatfield and husband Joshua of Beckley, Shawna Epperly and husband Timmy of White Oak; grandchildren, Ethan and Alura Hatfield, Ericka, Taylor and Aaden Epperly; brothers, Curtis Roger Coleman and Frankie Coleman, of Bolt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Alura Ratcliff of Beckley as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church in Bolt, WV with Pastor Dewey Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Harvey-Toler Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Epperly, Aaden Epperly, Michael Ratcliff, Ethan Hatfield, Phillip Coleman, Scotty Coleman and Anthony Coleman.
