Encil Josephine Sigman Dean

Encil Josephine Sigman Dean, 91, passed away Wednesday, July, 6, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House. Born March 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred Walter and Avie Mable Bailey Sigman. She attended Oak Grove Christian Church and belonged to Golden Gate Rebekah Lodge 206. She was a homemaker and 49-year resident of Beckley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Cleveland Dean, Sr.; sons, Larry Dale Dean (infant), Dennis Cleveland Dean, Jr., Franklin Delano Dean; daughter-in-law, Drema Ann McClanahan Dean; brother, Ancil W. Sigman; and sister-in-law Marie Sigmond.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Kay Dean of Beckley, and Loretta Dean Ernst and her husband, Maurice, of Santa Clarita, CA; one brother, Mancel V. Sigmond of Beckley; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Dean Cogar; six grandchildren, Andy Ernst (Liza), David Ernst (Teresa), Robert Ernst (Carolyn,) Jonny Dean (Alicia), Lisa Asbury (Tracy), and Traci Ann Dean; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Graveside service will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B, with Pastor Vondie Cook, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery until time of service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
