Douglas Green Hopkins, Jr.

Douglas Green Hopkins, Jr., 51, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010, at his home. Born November 29, 1958, in Beckley, he was the son of Douglas Green Hopkins, Sr. and Patricia Faye Greco Hopkins. He was a self-employed construction worker, and a life-long resident of Raleigh County.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Hopkins, sister, Dallas Meadows, and niece, Amanda Meadows.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include son, Douglas Hopkins III of Crab Orchard, daughter, Jennifer Houck of Beckley, brother, Mark Hopkins and his wife Shawna of Crab Orchard, sister, Sherry Ewing and her husband Eddie of Hico, grandson, Braeydn Houck of Beckley, nephews, Thomas Hopkins of Oak Hill, D.J. Meadows of Coal City, Eddie Lee Ewing of Hico, Tristan Hopkins, Dylan Hopkins and niece Cayce Hopkins, all of Crab Orchard, aunts and uncles, a special great aunt Willa Milliken of Beckley, and a special friend, Linda Waddell.
At his request, he will be cremated. Donations may be made to the Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
