Curtis Alan Staton
Curtis passed away Saturday, May 20th, 2017 in Beckley surrounded by family. He was born December 21, 1947 in Fairmont, WV and was the son of the late Alan and Mary Lue Staton. Curtis was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir. He had a love for the Lord and served in many ways throughout his life. He also enjoyed reading, music, and time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Johnette Evans Staton; 3 daughters and their families, Marla and Andy Knapp, Drs. Chele and David Baysinger, and Natalie and Steve Laraba; and 8 grandchildren, Breanne Rhodes, Brady and Bryce Knapp, Skylar, Evan and Rylan Laraba, and Jax and Maggie Baysinger, all of Beckley; sisters Janet Keith of Greenville, SC; Cheryl and Don Boblett of Daniels, WV; Rhonda Blevins of Birmingham, AL; and Debbie and Rick Markt of Greenville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, May 23 at 2:00 pm at Crab Orchard Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Sisson officiating. Visitation from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Crab Orchard Baptist Choir.
