Clarence Edward Mooney

Clarence Edward Mooney, 75, of Beckley, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House. Born February 8, 1936 in Coal City, WV, he was the son of the late Glenn Tracy and Margaret Thomas Mooney.
Eddie was a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corp. After his military service he was a foreman for Ingersoll Rand. He was a member of Beckley Masonic Lodge #95 A.F. & A.M. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Lee Mooney.
Survivors include his wife, Kathaleen Kirk Mooney; sons, Mark Edward Mooney and wife Lisa of Carrollton, VA and Brian Kirk Mooney and wife Theresa of Beckley; grandchildren, Andrew Eugene Mooney and Bianka Marie Prutsok, both of Beckley and a sister, Naomi Mooney Adame and husband Jerry of Cool Ridge.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Paul Bricker officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memoray of Eddie to Hospice of Southern WV, P.O. Box 1452, Beckley, WV 25802 or the Beckley Department of Veterans Affairs, 200 Veterans Ave., Beckley, WV 25801
