July 2, 1940-April 10, 2021
Celia Ann (Maples) Parker, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2021. Celia was born on July 2, 1940 to Cecil Waldo and Kata Mae Maples. She grew up in Beckley and attended Woodrow Wilson High School where she was in the marching band. Afterward she attended Concord College. Celia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother providing tender care, advice, and encouragement whenever needed. She had a gift for knowing what to say to lift your spirits, confidence, and outlook on many circumstances. Her presence in this life will truly be missed, while the memories and lessons cherished for the rest of our days.
Celia was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Waldo Maples, her mother, Kata Mae Maples, and her brother-n-law, David Knight of Princeton, West Virginia.
