Billie Joyce Strader, 71, of Bradley, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House. Born September 26, 1941 in Fenwick, WV, she was the daughter of Leora Collins Hamrick and the late Howard Ray Collins.
Billie was a member of the Spoken Word Tabernacle in Beaver where she was very active in church functions. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening and watching birds.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Collins and a sister, Addella Crockrell.
Besides her mother she is survived by her husband, Jackie Whitt Strader ; sons, Brian Strader and wife Sharon, Keith Strader, Mark Strader and wife Terri, Greg Strader and wife Tammy; daughter, Mary Harris and husband Derek; grandchildren, Stephen, Bazil, Jordan, Katelyn, Michael, Sierra and numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Shrewsbury officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family in memory Billie.
