Betty Jean Jackson, 76, of Oak Hill, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.
Born February 21, 1936 in Russell County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Florence Stump. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Burke Jackson.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Ann Gill and husband Larry of Oak Hill, Shirley Gross of Richlands, VA; son, David Gross of AZ, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites and burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Annapolis, MD. There will be no local service or visitation.
