Anthony Sokola

Anthony Sokola, 80, of Beckley, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Beckley VA Medical Center. Born December 28, 1931 at Sun, WV, he was the son of the late Andrew Stephen and Hattie Teresa Musial Sokola. Anthony was a retired mechanic having last worked for Lewis Terminal Garage. He was a member of Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Anthony enjoyed playing piano and making people laugh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ratliff.
He is survived by his wife Lois Ann Wills Sokola; daughter, Andrea Grose and husband Ernie of Edmond, WV; sister, Mary Ann Viars of Midway, WV; granddaughters, Rachael and Sarah Grose of Edmond, WV, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Price Hill Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Adam Trzicak officiating.
