Alvie (Al) E. Snyder, Jr., 74, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
Born December 27, 1940 in Damascus, VA, he was the son of the late Alvie E. and Angela E. Persinger Snyder.
Alvie retired from the US Navy with 23 years of service in 1981. He loved gardening and spending time with family, especially his sons and grandchildren.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are sons, Brett Snyder and wife June of Palmer, Alaska and Bart Snyder and partner Mia of Vaxjo, Sweden; sister, Carol Atterson and husband Benny of Partlow, VA and a brother, David Snyder and partner, Karen of MacArthur, WV.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated and his ashes scattered. No service is planned.
