Joseph Edward Workman

Joseph Edward Workman, 85, of York, SC, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022.
Born April 8, 1937 at Rock View, WV, he was the son of the late Roby and Letah Cook Workman.
Joe was a retired tipple operator for Maple Meadow Mining.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, David and Timothy Ray; brother, kenneth Workman and sister, Shirley Jones.
Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Edith “Edie” Lester Workman; daughter, Deanna Workman of York, SC; grandsons, Joshua and Ryan Workman; great-granddaughter, Kerra Workman; brother, Roby Workman, Jr of MI; sisters; Anita Cook and Marlene Daniels of Rock View, WV, Sue James of Pikeville, KY and Donna Miller of Brenton, WV.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11 at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B with Pastor Vondie Cook, II officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
